I need a solution
Simply put, I don't know what to do from here. I just installed PGP and it didn't go right. Our server has two internal drives, each divided into two partitions. The second is a mirror of the first and is refreshed from the primary drive each night.
I installed PGP version 10.0.0 and encrypted the primary drive; only Once encrypted we decided to decrypt the drive for some unknown reason. That started a cascade of problems.
The decryption seemed to take forever (24+ hrs) and finally froze the computer. Unable to do a normal shutdown or restart I did a hard boot. PGP does ask for the password for the disk. The PGP window opens to report conflicting information:
- It says both partitions are “not encrypted”
- The “Decryption Progress” bar shows only 1/3 complete, and the stats say: “29.35% encrypted – 68.3 of 232.9Gb remains encrypted – Less than a minute remaining”
- The “STOP” button in the upper left is available and clicking that yields the “Pause”/ “Cancel” choices. When I click “Pause” nothing happens. The “Stop” button remains present.
Sorry for the low res-image; it's the best I could upload.
