Crashed PGPWDE encrypted disk

Hello,

My PGDWDE-encrypted hard drive has crashed and no longer boots but by booting the machine from a Live Linux distro CD I can see the folder structure of the crashed disk which appears unafected. In an attempt to recover data I have downloaded a recovery disk image from Symantec Knowledge Base (link below) and burnt it to a CD. The machine boots from the CD asking to hit any key, does "Searching the disk for PGPWDE install" and then returns an error "Failed to load recovery module". Any ideas?
