when executing command of encrypting in linux it saves in history?

Hi 

how can we manage this that when we execute Linux command for encrypting disk , it saves in history, and any one can see the password,, so we can resolve this that no one can found this command in history,  our password for encrypting the disk was not protected like this...

please help
