Is there a way to reset the counters for external logging?
I have been experimenting with external logging with my SEPM. My plan is to have events forwarded to our Syslog server. Before doing this, I wanted to get an idea about the amount of data that would be transferred, so I selected "Export Logs to a Dump File". The thought was to see how large these files got and then import them into our syslog server. After monitoring this for a day, I noticed that the dump files were a few hundred MB in size, which included all of the events from the various tables in my database. I thought that was an acceptable amount and wanted to re-create my steps for further testing. I deleted the dump files and disabled "Export Logs to a Dump File". I then re-enabled "Export Logs to a Dump File", thinking that it would regenerate all of the content to dump files again. Unfortunately it would only capture new events as they occured.
I'd like to reset the counters and start from scratch if this is at all possible. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
