PGP Encrypted HDD Removal

I have encrypted my HDD with PGP. Sometime after doing this my touchscreen stopped working. Toshiba says I need the unit back in out of box condition. I created recovery disks. So my question is if I remove the encrypted HDD and put a trash one in to recover to and test touch screen, will it be a problem to put the encrypted HDD back in? Will that affect the encryption?
