Disk Encryption not detecting external hard drive

I have an external hard drive that is connected via USB and I am trying to encrypt it all.  It doesn't show up in the list of disks in PGP Disk.  It's fully accessable to the file system and works otherwise but it won't show up in the list for me to encrypt, it's as if its not there.

Using Encryption Desktop 10.3.2
