SEPM servers can not see any clients

I need a solution

On 11/23/13 I upgraded the SEP from 12.1.3 to 12.1.4. The application checked ok.

On 11/25/13 I added a 3rd SEPM server for the OA project. The install completed successfully but afterward I noticed there were no clients in any of the groups.

I thought that maybe the clients needed time to check in and gave it overnight.

11/26/13 I opened the case with Sym. Support. We have taken the following steps:

At this point the SEPM could not see the clients and all clients showed offline on the SEPM Home page. SEPM was sending out no notification to the NOC:

  1. Ran sylink monitor and sent logs to Symantec.
  2. Ran SymHelp on both SEPM servers and sent logs to Symantec.
  3. Ran a repair SEPM install on both servers.
  4. Recreated the server certificates on both servers.
  5. Re-assigned all policies to all groups.
  6. Used the deployment manager the push a Communication Update Package to a test group of dev servers.
  7. Re-installed the client through the deployment manager to a test server.
  8. Restored the SEPM servers and database to the state before the 12.1.4 upgrade and the 3rd SEPM server was add.

At this point the clients are still not showing up in groups, but according to the SEPM Home page they are showing as online and getting updates from the SEPM server. I verified from the clients side that servers and workstations are now showing as able to connect to the SEPM servers. SEPM has been sending notifications out.

  1. Ran SymHelp on both SEPM servers and sent logs to Symantec
  2. Re-assigned all policies to all groups.
  3. Recreated the server certificates on both servers.
  4. Used the deployment manager the push a Communication Update Package to a test group of dev servers.
  5. Re-installed the client through the deployment manager to a test server.
  6. Followed Symantec’s disaster recovery doc: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH134475
  7. Ask Phil Miller to look thought the environment. (Radian 2nd for SEP support)
  8. Rebuilding the database indexes.
  9. Added a 3rd SEMP

Still the same issue. Cant see the client from any SEPM server. All clients are checking inti the homepage and getting updates, and sending logs to the semp servers, but just can see or manage them. Any suggestions?
